Journal Articles for FREE

This information will be most useful to those of you doing your EPQ.

Journal articles are, in my opinion at least, the best way of getting information on the most specific topics, and getting that information fast. This is probably the type of resource you want to use once you have gained some brief general knowledge on your topic of choice and have come up with a title.

Unfortunately, because journal articles are academic works, they can cost A LOT.

JSTOR is one of the largest databases of journal articles, bringing many different topics all in one place.

They have kindly made a large number of their articles free due to the covid-19 situation, and have extended this to last until the end of 2020.

This is the perfect opportunity to find relevant articles (and download them so you can access them even after the free period expires).

To get this free access, you will need to make a free account and you will then have access to 100 free articles a month.

I advise reading the abstracts of articles so that you can see exactly what kind of thing will be talked about, so that you can spend your quota wisely.

Of course, if you just want to read articles for fun, that’s perfectly fine too!

Though I am not affiliated with JSTOR, if you have any queries you can contact me by email and I’ll do my best to help.
