TOP 10 BOOKS READ: AUTUMN TERM!

The top 10 books read this term sees a real variety of genres, which is great to see!

The ‘Diary of a Wimpy Kid’ series is still proving to be extremely popular along with some books on our character challenges including ‘A Monster Calls’ Patrick Ness, ‘The Diary of a Young Girl’ Anne Frank and ‘You are a Champion’ Marcus Rashford.

All of the top 10 books below can be found in the library to loan out:

LIBRARY ADVENT CALENDAR: 1ST-5TH DECEMBER!

Here is the very first Library Advent Calendar weekly round up on the blog!

Throughout December, all of the books revealed on the advent calendar that week will be featured in a blog post to summarise all of the book recommendations and to make it more accessible for you all to see, if you haven’t been able to come down to the library each day.

LIBRARY ADVENT CALENDAR! 📚🎅

This year we have created our very own LIBRARY ADVENT CALENDAR at TCOLC!

The advent calendar is on display in the library and each day a door is revealed, which will give you a book recommendation to borrow / read that day e.g. it could be a book from a specific reading list, genre or topic.

If you borrow a book which is on the advent calendar throughout the month of December, on return of the book you will receive character points!

There will also be a weekly round up of all of the books revealed here on the blog.

Make sure to visit the library each day to see a new door revealed and to get borrowing the books! 📚🎅

BLACK HISTORY MONTH READING CHALLENGE!

OCTOBER IS BLACK HISTORY MONTH

To celebrate it, here in the library we have launched a reading character challenge!

Borrow and read as many of the below books as you can during October and upon return you will receive character points if you can speak reflectively about the book

You can find a selection of these books on display on the first set of shelves in the library

So get learning and celebrating by reading these books!
